Lighten Up 2014!

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">One of my New Years resolutions was to "Lighten Up".  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">No, not lighten up my attitude, lighten up around the house.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">And not in the "I am going to let things slide" manner either </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">(although some days I would like to).  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">What I mean is that I want to lighten up my rooms.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">It feels dark in some rooms and heavy and I want things lighter and softer.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I am starting this resolution in the formal living room.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> What really made me think about this long and hard </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">was after I took down the Christmas decor.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I usually would have redecorated right away, </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">but the room sat there naked until this week.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Each time I walked by the room (a million times a day) I just shook my head.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I wanted to paint, I wanted to rearrange the furniture, </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I wanted to recover the chairs but I did nothing.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Has this ever happened to you?  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">On the plane down to Atlanta last week I was reading an article </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">in the inflight magazine about some one who started </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">a social movement and nonprofit organization called <a href="http://becauseisaidiwould.com/about/" target="_blank">"Because I said I would"</a>.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Have you heard of it?  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">It is basically writing down promises large or small on promise cards </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">and mailing them to anywhere in the world at no cost.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Why did this move me?  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I mostly always follow through on the things that I say that I will do.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I like that about myself.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">But there are a a lot of things that I <b>WANT</b> to do that I don't say out loud.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I think them and then I let them go to the back of my mind.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Weeks and months go by and I don't do these things.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">No one but me would really care if they got done or not </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">and they are certainly not things that would change the world </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">but I would like to get them done.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I realized that when I write things down that I need to do </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">(my post it notes that my family teases me about) </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I usually do them.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">So on Saturday I walked by the living room, </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">turned right around and marched into the kitchen </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">and started writing on the kitchen chalkboard door.  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Paint the Living Room, </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Recover the Chairs, </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Switch out the Rugs, </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Make Pillows, etc...  </span></span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #666666;"><i><span style="font-size: small;"><span
